Mechanical pain is the general term that refers to a type of back pain caused by stressing and straining of vertebral column muscles. The pain is usually a result of bad habits such as poor posture, poorly designed seating and incorrect lifting and bending motions.

SPONDYLOSIS

Cervical spondylosis, also known as neck arthritis is a common age related condition that affects a person’s joints and discs in the neck. It results from wear and tear of your cartilage and bones located in the cervical spine in your neck.
Age is one of the major factors that result in this condition. Its symptoms include stiffness and chronic pain in the neck.

SLIP DISC BULGE

A slip disc bulge or a protruding disc is a common spine injury to your spine’s intervertebral disc. It’s a common spine injury and can occur in you lower back, upper/mid-back and cervical neck.
It is commonly referred to as slip disc. Common symptoms that lead to suspicion of a bulging disc injury are when one experiences pain during sitting, forward bending, coughing or sneezing, lifting and forward bending.

DISC PROLAPSED

It is also known as prolapsed herniated disc occurs when intervertebral disc’s fibers are injured and nucleus pulposus, known as the soft material, ruptures outside of its enclosed space.
The ruptured material from the disc can enter the spinal canal therefore squishing the spinal cord and spinal nerves at times. It may be sudden or gradually over weeks or months and is commonly found in young and middle aged adults.

SCIATICA

Sciatica is a condition in which a person experiences an irritation in the sciatic nerve resulting in pain in the lower extremity. The pain of sciatica is felt from the low back, followed by the thigh and can radiate down till the knee. As the largest nerve in the body, sciatic nerve begins from nerve roots in the lower back extending through the buttocks area to send nerve endings down the lower limb.
